A hot-air balloon rising over the savanna plains at sunrise with a safari vehicle waiting below
Dawn add-on · Fixed rate

Sunrise,
from the basket.

45–60Minutes aloft
~05:15Wheels up
1Champagne breakfast

Engines off, world quiet.

You're collected from camp while it's still dark, in time to watch the envelope inflate — loud, sudden, lit orange from inside. Then the lift, which is nothing like the noise of getting there: within a minute the ground falls away and the only sound left is the occasional breath of the burner.

Pilots here fly the same routes daily and read wind at altitude the way your guide reads the herd on the ground — you don't steer a balloon, you ride what the air is doing, and that's most of the appeal. Landing is followed by a champagne toast and a full breakfast cooked and laid out on the plain.
